I think we need to approach events, like directors approach movies. Movies are incredibly well orchestrated, from start to finish, every emotion that the audience feels on purpose.
Directors create suspense, pay attention to drama, create mystery, and most importantly create scenes worth talking about.
When you attend corporate events, or conferences sometimes you get the feeling the organizer is trying to create something simply worth surviving.
The reason movies work so well is because they're entertainment. People like to be entertained. No matter what type of event you're holding, it's important to realize your first job is to entertain.

I agree! So what do you think can be done to help that transition? Any Ideas?

I would like to think that the first thing that matters is the message. The entertainment value comes second.

@Miles - Lots can be done. And I'll be developing specific content in this area to share in the new year...stay tuned.
@Matt - thanks for your comment. The message is the ultimate goal, but I would argue, if you don't entertain first, engage people, give them a show, your message will never get through in a meaningful way.

Great 50s 60s event traces of important events that have occurred in these landmark decades. Historically, economically and socially the two decades has had a huge impact on how contemporary society has proved to be.
